The Rum Curious Club does several rum barrel picks per year. As an annual member and depending on your membership, you a bottle or several bottles. There’s are limited edition and specialty bottles specifi to our club.

Annual Membership Options

Tier 1: The Order of Hercule (Invite Only)
You are the culture of The Rum Curious Club. You drink with curiosity, not snobbery. Neat, mixed, low proof, high proof, and everything in between. Handpicked by The Rum Champion and part of the Order, you’ve joined an exclusive council dedicated to curiosity, and exploration.

Tier 2: Navigator
You’ve gone full rum-obsessed. You hunt it down wherever you travel. Neat pours at dive bars, daiquiris at tiki joints, distillery tours in far-off lands. You’re not just learning; you’re bringing others with you. You're mapping the journey and building the crew.

Tier 3: Seeker
You’re rum-curious and ready to level up. You know enough to be dangerous and probably have a few bottles (or mugs) calling your name. You’re not all-in yet—but you’re circling the edge, eyeing the deep end, and feeling the pull.

Tier 4: Acolyte
You're at the beginning of your rum journey. Maybe you’ve only had tiki drinks or sweet rums so far, but something’s clicked. You’re ready to explore more, ask questions, and fall headfirst down the sugarcane rabbit hole.

Tier 5: Curious (Free)
If you’ve been to a Rum Curious Club event, congrats—you’re a member. No cost. No gatekeeping. Just community. Everyone starts somewhere.

  • The Rum Curious Club was founded by Bryan Inman (The Rum Champion) and Monique Evans in the fall of 2022. What began as a 12-person tasting in Bryan’s apartment has grown into the second largest rum club in the United States.

    Monique has since taken a step back, while Bryan has remained unrelenting in growing the club—expanding our events, barrel picks, and community across California and beyond.

    We’re a group of curious drinkers brought together by a shared love of rum—not pretension. Whether you’re new to the category or 2,000 pours deep, there’s a seat for you here.

  • You can review the membership options and costs above!

  • We keep members informed across multiple channels. To stay in the loop, make sure you:

    1) Join the Rum Curious Club Facebook Group
    2) Subscribe to our newsletter
    3) Opt in for text message updates

  • A barrel pick is a single-barrel rum selected by Bryan (and occasionally other RCC members) and bottled exclusively for the club.

    Every pick includes tasting notes, backstory, and limited-run access. These aren’t rums you’ll find on just any shelf.

    Bottle selections are released throughout the year. We’ll notify you by text or email when it’s your turn to choose.

  • Each membership tier offers different perks, including access to RCC-exclusive barrel picks, discounts to events (including the Rum Curious Summit), member-only meetups, and rum-related rewards. You can see our membership tiers above.

  • Click on any of the buttons that say, "Become An Annual Member." You will be re-directed to a form to fill out and to pay for your membership.

    From there, you will be contacted by The Rum Champion within 48 hours with next steps!

  • Anyone over 21 can become an annual member! Apart from The Order of Hercule, the number of annual members is not limited.

    Our goal is to continue to grow this club and get more rum enthusiasts on board with spreading the good word!

  • Private meetups are small, curated gatherings hosted by Bryan or other RCC members at someone’s home. These events are capped at 10 attendees and focus on community, shared pours, rare tastings, and quality conversation.

  • Access is offered by tier priority and confirmed by first-come, first-served RSVP via text message:
    1) The Order of Hercule gets first dibs
    2) Navigator is next
    3) Seeker and Acolyte may attend if space is available

    We work hard to ensure everyone gets involved. If you attend one meetup, you’ll be asked to sit the next one out unless space remains—giving other members a chance to participate. Fairness and community are our priority.

  • It’s the ultimate flex for true rum lovers. The Royal Rum Treatment gives you and a plus one a private 3-hour tasting at The Rum Champion’s home. Just the three of you—no crowds, no distractions. You’ll explore rare bottles, get personalized education, maybe sip a cocktail made with a $200 rum, and who knows what else. It’s intimate, unforgettable, and might just ruin other rums for you forever (in the best way).

  • No. While we hope you continue as an annual Rum Curious Club member, there is no auto-renewal.

    About 30-60 days before your membership expires, you will be contacted and asked if you wish to continue for another year.

  • Wonderful! While based in Southern California, we aggressively plan to expand from coast-to-coast.

    If you're the first person in your area to become a Rum Seeker, you may be asked to become that area's Founding Member!

  • The Order of Hercule is invite-only and limited to 10 members total. Entry is based on a mix of factors including long-term support, contribution to the club, and alignment with the RCC culture.

    New members are selected by The Rum Champion and a vote from current Order members. We occasionally open spots when a seat becomes available. If you want in, show up, stay active, focus on rum while you're at our events and accept that rum is acceptable in all forms.

  • Yes. Depending on your tier, you’ll receive one or more bottles throughout the year. When the picks are ready, we’ll notify you by text or email with the available options for your level.

  • Once someone joins and lists you as their referrer, you’ll start earning rewards:
    1 referral: A rum flight (4 x 50 ml samples curated by The Rum Champion)
    3 referrals: A bottle of rum (up to $75)
    5 referrals: A bottle of rum (up to $175)

    All rewards are fulfilled once your referrals have completed payment. No limits—refer as many people as you’d like. Go beyond 5? We’ll make it worth your while.

  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferrable can be transferred. Just reach out if you need help.
